Specialist and co-curricular programs

Education in the performing and visual arts is a key part of the curriculum in the school’s program where opportunities are provided for students to participate in a range of activities beyond the normal class curriculum.

Most of these activities occur outside of normal class time, with rehearsals and practices occurring before or after school or during the lunch break.

Specialist Art Teacher

A specialist art teacher provides a sequential program from Kindergarten to Year 6. The artist-in-residence provides a program that exposes students to a broader range of visual arts media and techniques.

Music ensembles

The school offers an array of bands, choirs, string and jazz ensembles and orchestra designed to cater to the interests of students. Many of these ensembles are graded to allow musicians to work together at the appropriate level of performance. These ensembles have many performance opportunities throughout the year.
