Our principal and staff

Welcome from our principal
On behalf of our students, staff and community, I warmly welcome you to Leichhardt Public School. We’re so glad you’re here.
At LPS, we believe in high expectations, strong relationships and purposeful learning. Our staff are deeply committed to knowing every child as a learner and as a person, ensuring their unique strengths, needs, cultures and interests are understood and celebrated. Whether it is lifting outcomes through explicit, evidence-based teaching, nurturing student voice and wellbeing, or offering rich curriculum opportunities, we aim to provide a school experience that is engaging, rigorous and meaningful for every child.
I invite you to contact our school office to arrange a tour. We would love to welcome you in and show you our village in action.
Kind regards,
Dan Muir-Smith, Principal of Leichhardt Public School
