What students learn
Students learn a wide range of subjects in the NSW curriculum. They build skills, think creatively and prepare for life beyond school.
Visiting volunteer scripture and ethics teachers take classes on Thursday mornings.
Years K-2: 11:41 to 12:11pm
Years 3-6: 10:34 to 11:04am
The lessons offered are:
- Combined Christian - incorporating Anglican, Uniting, Presbyterian and Methodist
- Catholic
- Ethics
- Non-religious alternative
All Scripture volunteers have authorisation to participate as teachers in this program. Students in Years K - 6 whose parents have requested exemption from special religious education (SRE) may be given an option to attend a course in special education in Ethics. Special education in Ethics (SEE) is education in ethical decision making, action and reflection within a secular framework, based on a branch of philosophy. Classes can only be formed on the availability of Ethics teachers.

At our school, we give the right support to help gifted learners to grow and do their best.
We notice these students early. They may learn quickly or show strong skills in creativity, leadership, problem solving or sport. We help them stay challenged with lessons and activities that match their strengths.

Our learning approach
Our school uses explicit teaching. This means we clearly tell students what they are learning, why it is important and how to do it step by step. Explicit teaching helps students understand new ideas by breaking them into smaller parts.
