Support for all learners
At LPS, every child is welcomed, known and supported to achieve their best. We monitor student progress closely and provide tailored support and adjustments when needed, working in partnership with families to ensure strong outcomes. Our Learning Support Team, school counsellor, English as an Additional Language/Dialect specialist help learners at every stage. For students requiring specialised additional support, we offer application to three Multi-Stage specialist support classes and individual plans designed alongside families, teachers and allied professionals to foster confidence, growth and success in a nurturing environment.
Engaging and Innovative Programs
At Leichhardt Public School we offer a diverse range of programs that inspire curiosity, creativity and achievement. Students can participate in specialist music ensembles, visual and creative arts, Italian language, garden and sustainability, enriching their learning beyond the classroom. Weekly classroom sessions in philosophical discussion and opportunities in public speaking and debating help build confidence, critical and creative thinking and communication skills, while enrichment programs in English and Mathematics allow students to explore their individual talents and deepen their knowledge.
